We’re excited about our upcoming children’s theater festival. In September, we’ll have a downloadable information packet which will include the details below, a registration form, a judging form (so you can see what the judges will be looking for), a registration form for the inservice in October, and other pertinent details. (for any teacher, not just those wanting to be a part of the festival)- Inservice place: Northern Lights Theatre
- Inservice time: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Inservice cost: $20.00, includes brunch
- Entry deadline for competition: Jan. 9, 2009

- First judging (at the individual schools): Feb. 2-Apr. 10, 2009
- Announcement of Finalists: Apr. 16, 2009

to celebrate the work of the teacher/directors- Place: The Blue Pepper Gallery
- Festival Dates: May 8-9, 2009
- Place: Chemeketa Community College Auditorium
- Performances by 5 finalists
- Prize list : Cwerks show for the entire school; Tour of the Historic Elsinore for the cast; Movie at Northern Lights for the cast; Treats for the cast from Jamba Juice and Subway Sandwiches
- For elementary schools (k-5) (including homeschool and private school groups)
- Minimum # of cast members: 20
- Royalties and all production costs are up to the school (see Children’s Theatre Foundation below)
- One entry per school
- Play running time: min.-30 minutes; max.-40 minutes
- Play should have vocal and/or instrumental music but not be a musical
- Prizes will be awarded to all five finalists
- Children’s Theatre Foundation is a granting organization serving the Mid-Willamette Valley whose funds go "for programs that educate children through participation in Theatre Arts." Go to their website to download the application. CTF is not associated with Cwerks; we’re just glad to give them as a financial resource for those interested.

Cwerks is an interactive traveling theater company.
CTF = ChildrenÕs Theatre Foundation is a granting organization that is not a part of Cwerks, nor a part of CET
CET = ChildrenÕs Educational Theatre is primarily a five-week summer educational theater program. It is not part of Cwerks; although one of the directors of Cwerks often teaches at CET (because it’s so fun).
In other words, these are three separate organizations.
